Academis Ielts Writing Task 1 (Map)

Would you mind revising this essay for me? Many thanks from my heart.

Topic: You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.

Below is a map of the city of Brandfield. City planners have decided to build a new shopping mall for the area, and two sites, S1 and S2 have been proposed.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Write at least 150 words.

Map of Brandfield with two proposed sites for a shopping mall

Answer:

Given is a picture illustrating two potential locations (S1 and S2) for a new shopping mall in the city called Brandfield.

The main difference between the two sites under consideration is that S1 is in the North, whereas S2 is in the Southeast of the city. The effect of proposals can be compared in terms of access by road or rail, and their positions relative to other main areas.

Looking at the information in more detail, both S1 and S2 are projected to locate near the city center and unfairly far from Gold Course and Park. On the other perspective, while S1 is close to the Housing estate, S2 is in the neighborhood of the Industrial Estate.

There is a main road that runs through the city and is close to both sites. Similarly, S1 and S2 stand just by the railway line, which runs from the southeast of the city to the north-west. Thus, it is uncomplicated to access to either of them by cars or trains. There is a special point when scrutinizing is that S1 surrounds the river, which runs through the city.
