Some people believe that nowadays we have too many choices.

To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

It is argued that in modern society people are surrounded by endless choices. I totally agree with this statement because various choices can be a cause of industrialization and globalization.

In the 21st century, because of industrialization, people now have the luxury to choose the perfect item for them. In the past, a lot of factories had products that were man-made, but since machines were invented to do all the work it was much easier to have more productivity and with this a lot of product diversity. For example, a study has shown that in Japan the productivity in big companies increased with almost 52% when machines were first added.

Another reason for a variety of items can be globalization. More and more countries trade their products with foreign one so the range of choices has kept getting wider. Until late 1980 there were only regional products some of them do not exist anymore but from exchanging products people can have a pleasant experience by trying different things from another country without actually going there. For example, I am a big fan of Japanese culture especially their traditional food. When I was younger and watched Japanese cartoons I was always wondering how their food would taste like. Now I have the luxury to pick whatever I wanted from a variety of food dishes.

In conclusion, I agree that society had suffered a dramatic change by introducing so many items from another country making people decide to choice very hard.
