In 1920, even though there was a slight change, the rate of The USA was higher than one of China with the gap keeping stable approximately only 1%. Until 1935-1945, the rate of two countries fluctuated and their position also had a quick change, but they always remained above 5%. However, The USA could not keep the rate above 5% and declined to its lowest point under 5% in the 1945s, similarly, China reached the bottom with 5%. But in the 1950s, the figure of both countries increased significantly and reached the highest value during the 8-decade period with 20% for China and 15% for the USA.
Turning to the following period, at the top of rate, the percentages just had the same trend that dropped gradually from 20% and 15% to approximately 2% and 7% respectively for China and the USA in 2000.
