Academic Reference 2

Hi, everybody!!! Could you be so kind and check the following letter. I will be glad if you leave some comments and recommendations about it.

Academic Reference

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am a professor of the “***” Department. I am writing this reference to *** for admission to the “***” Program.

I have known *** for the past two semesters as I was lecturing and conducting workshops on “***” in a group *** studied. In this course we considered issues of the organizing and projecting of manufacturing processes, as well as the processes efficiency analysis. The peculiarity of the course is the existing of multivariate approaches to organizing of manufacturing processes.

I know *** as a hard-working student. He always attended my classes well prepared and took an active part in them. On workshops he demonstrated thorough knowledge of the course finding original solutions to complicated tasks.

The fact that *** has his own point of view on different issues always distinguishes him from other students. Though his opinion quite often differs from others, he can logically prove that the method he recommends to use is appropriate for the problem solution. For example, when I examined him in the course I had lectured, I asked him to solve a technological problem. The method he suggested to use rather differed from ordinary manners. But using the knowledge not only of the course I had lectured, but also of different cognate courses he proved that the method he had suggested was appropriate for the problem solution. So, I gave him an excellent grade.

Writing about ***, I can not passed by his weak side. Sometimes it takes a lot of time for him to solve a problem, whereas other students have already performed the task. But, however, he always performs tasks correctly, while others can have mistakes.

When I learnt that he desired to study abroad, I expressed my full support and encouraged him to work hard to achieve his goal. I had a reason for this. After I achieved a PhD, I had a year internship at the *** University, ***. So, I realize that the education system in Europe rather differs from Russian one. Both systems have their strong and weak sides. *** received all the best that Russian education system could give him. Thus, it will be very useful for him to study in Europe to combine the advantages of the both education systems and to complete his education in the best way.

Please feel free to contact me if you need further information.

Sincerely,
