Academic Credentials...

All,

I was wondering what academic credentials are appropriate to include in a business letter or email signature. For example, should Masters-level qualifications be included, or just PhD, MD, Esq? I tried searching the internet for advice, but did not really know how to phrase the question better.

Thanks!

Nowadays, most of those seem rather pompous in a signature-- and master's degrees are a dime a dozen. The exception is MD (and DDS, etc), which may have practical consequences, as when offering medical advice to the recipient.
