Hi there! i am going to apply for a MSc in London. In the on-line application process, I am asked for "Personal Statement and supporting information" about my career and the like.

I am writing to apply for the MSc in Computing and Security you offer. I have got a BSc in Computer Science with highest honors from Sapienza University of Rome.
My final dissertation was entitled "Design and implementation of a centralized update system for OpenCAPWAP". OpenCAPWAP is the only open-source implementation of the CAPWAP Protocol(RFC 5415). CAPWAP is a standard, interoperable protocol that enables a controller (AC - Access Controller) to manage a collection of wireless access points(WTP - Wireless Termination Point). My work on CAPWAP consisted of many bugfixes and of the design and implementation of a centralized update systems for the WTP firmware. The result of my work is available on Sourceforge.net: http://*******.
I am very interested in many areas of Computer Science, namely Programming Languages, Software Engeneering, Operating Systems and Computer Networks. I have some professional experience in all of those areas and I scored very well at University in the related academic courses. The reason why I am applying for this MSc is that I find security to be a dynamic and comprehensive field that spans all of these areas and allows me to use and improve my overall knowledge of Computer Science.
As far as security is concerned, in 2009 I designed and developed a kernel patch to the ext3 Linux file-system that implements asynchronous secure deletion. The work was published on Sourceforge.net and is available there under the GPL license at the following link: http://*******. A paper explaining the design and implementation details is available on my personal web site at the following link: http://*******.
I have attached a copy of my curriculum vitae and a record of my examinations at University.
