Abuse

Is this sentence correct:

"I like chocolate, but I try not to abuse it."

Top answer

It's fine. It is a little joke, because we speak of drug or alcohol addiction in terms of abuse of a substance, and chocolate, as desirable as it may be, is not in their league.
