Abstract noun

Are the following nouns abstract?
environment, cold, percent, summer, way, month, 1911-1912

The harshest environment ....

It is dry, windy, and extremely cold
Ninety-eight percent of its surface...
In the summer of 1911-1912, two groups.....

They picked their way carefully....
They had reached the pole one month before.....

Are dry and windy in the second sentence adverbs?

Is ninety-eight in sentence 3 an adjective?
