Abstract for my lawyer degree

Can someone help me with these corrections, simplifying the text without losing sense? I'm afraid my text will lose sense. I think my sentences are too long and hard to read. Here it goes: Considering that Law 7,170 1983 is possibly unconstitutional, and through it, the apparatus of criminal prosecution of the State may be being used to suppress freedom of expression and inhibit democratic debate, research is carried out on the theoretical, legal, and practice involving Law 7170 of 1983, to determine how the legal treatment has been given by the actors of the justice system and to requests for a criminal investigation in the face of expressions of opinions contrary to those of the Head of the Executive Branch as a crime provided for in the Law of National security. Therefore, it is necessary to observe the origin of the law, the purposes of its existence, the reception of the Law by the Federal Constitution of 1988, how the doctrine and the courts deal with it, the positions and measures adopted by the agents responsible for the Federal Constitution to amend, revoke and declare the unconstitutionality of the Law, as well as the empirical analysis of the conduct perpetrated by state agents that influence the application of the National Security Law. Empirical and qualitative research is then carried out through a single case study of Habeas Corpus 607921, in which journalist Hélio Schwartsman is a patient, for having been initiated a police inquiry to investigate the conduct attributed to him under Law 7170. Therefore, it appears that the National Security Law was designed for a period of transition between the authoritarian State known as the Military Dictatorship of 1964 and the democratic State of law established by the Federal Constitution of 1988, for this reason, it contains in its text strong traits of authoritarianism that are unsustainable in a state of full democracy, it is observed that measures were taken to change, revoke and declare unconstitutionality, however, they did not produce results. As for the analysis of the Habeas Corpus and the performance of the agents of the legal system, it appears that the LSN provides an opening so that, through shallow subsumption between type and conduct, the police investigation is used as a form of quick and blunt against opponents of the government and suppression of freedom of expression, however, despite the law in force, the Brazilian material and procedural law hierarchically reflected by the Federal Constitution of 1988 provide the agents of the legal system with the means for the application of the LSN to be withdrawn.

Keywords: National security law. Democracy. Authoritarianism. Reception. Applicability.
