Absolute construction

Dear members,

Please kindly help me with this issue.
"It had been warm and dry in June, and now, by the end of September, the air was chilly and the temperature was falling every day. The 7 a.m. weather forecast on TV said minus 10 degrees."
I like to save some words with "It had been warm and dry in June, and now, by the end of September, the air was chilly, the temperature falling every day." I use "the temperature falling every day" as absolute construction here. Is is okay?
Another issue: Can I write "7 a.m. weather forcast" or "7a.m. weather forcast or "7am weather forcast" or 7:00 AM weather forcast" or 7 A.M. weather forcast"... deliberately?

Thanks.

Thank you all for your helpful comments. I feel more comfortable with writing absolute phrases and times (as premodifiers) from now on.
Sorry that I did not provide you with the context through the whole paragraph. This is a short narrative from the perspective of somebody who is surprised at the quick seasonal change in his new living place (he arrives in June). But your thoughts are wonderf
