Vocabulary

Absent from the scene VS Disappeared from the scene

Hi

Would you say that both of the red phrases work naturally (and with the same meaning)?

(When a politician or a movie star, etc. is not present where s/he should be)

As the header/title/heading of an article in a newspaper or magazine

Disappeared from the Scene

Absent from the Scene

Thanks,

Tom
