Abrogate

Hi,

Can we say: for the first time in a long while. (instead of ... in a long time?)

b) The draconian law is now abrogated, so people are happy. (is it okay to use abrogate in this way in passive voice?)

c) Can one say: he found the book in the unlikeliest of places.

Regards,
