ABOUT vs FOR / RUNNING vs GOING / WHILE vs WHILST

Could you please help me choose the right word in these sentences?

FOR vs ABOUT
  • He is feeling bad about/for what he said.
RUNNING vs GOING
  • The subway isn't running/going to 14th street because of the strike.
WHILE vs WHILST
  • How would you say this question while/whilst keeping the structure of the sentence the same?
PAST vs PASS
  • 2 hours past/passed between when I did my homework and when I had dinner. Homework isn't fun to do.
  • She woke me up 10 minutes (too) late.
