= It is hard for the men to want to satisfy the some people.

= To satisfy the some people is hard for the men to do that.

The mountain is hard to climb.

= The mountain is hard for the people who should climb it.

= To climb the mountain is hard for the people to do that.

How hard for the loving mother to give up hope for her recreant son!

= To give up hope for her recreant son is hard for the loving mother.
