About this pronunciation

the letter T in the word immortal seems to not be pronounced, am I right? I also would like to know if there is a rule for when the T is not pronounced.

No. It may be a bit slurred or blurred, especially, I think, in casual American speech. In careful BrE speech it is articulated very clearly.

In US English, it is pronounced more like a "d": "immordal." But there is a sound there, otherwise it would be the word "immoral."
