About the words quiz and poll

Hello there!

I've got a small question to you guys.

I was wondering if the word "quiz" can be used in somewhat the meaning of "poll"?

Can "poll" be interpreted as a type of "quiz" or do they mean two separate things in English?

Thanks in advance!
