About the word"career"

i'm confused with the word"career". For example, his teaching/coaching career or his teacher/coach career, i think the former one is more likely to be used, but I also find "his student career" in the dictionary. An explanation would be helpful.Thanks. Emotion: smile

Normally, the word 'career' is preceded either by an adjective or by a noun functioning as an adjective.In your example, the 'student' functions as an adjective.
