About the verb "make"?

Hi, I would like to know is it possible to use "make life getting better"?

As I know, we should always use root verb after the verbs like "help" and "make". I'm confused because someone on the Internet said that this phrase doesn't have any mistake. Emotion: indifferent

Please guide me! thanks! ^_^
