About the phrase "Train human talents"

Hello everyone, does the phrase "train the talents" sound unusual? I think talents can be nurtured, but I feel it's a bit weird to "train" the talents.

If someone was born as a talent, teachers/parents/mentors can nurture them, but not "train" them

Would appreciate if you could help. Thanks much
