Can I say,Last Sunday, it was fine. Peter and John were going home from school. Suddenly, Peter felt hungry, so they went to Uncle's Lim's orchard. They started to steal mangoes without anyone noticed. They plucked many fruit and put them in their bag. When they were leaving / they began leaving, a dog spotted them and barked at them. They were very scared and sped off /ran away. It chased after them immediately.  On the way home, they scratched themselves when trying to escape as fast as they could. When they reached home / came home, they told the whole incident to his father. His father was very angry. He took them to see Uncle Lim and apologised to him.  Uncle Lim finally forgave them for their naive. P/s: What does it mean "scratched themselves"?

It [although we often try to avoid repeating words, here I think it might be better to say "The dog" because of the distance back to the last mention of it.] chased after them ~~immediately~~.

On the way home, they scratched themselves when [not wrong, but "while" might be better here] trying to escape as fast as they could. When they got home, they told the whole incident to his [not clear who "his" refers to] father. His father was very angry. He took them to see Uncle Lim and apologised to him. Uncle Lim finally forgave them for their ?. [A noun is required here. The noun corresponding to "naive" is "naivety" but it doesn't feel quite right to me. You could say "foolishness" perhaps, or you could just say "forgave them", period.]

P/s: What does it mean "scratched themselves"?

You wrote it but you don't know what it means? "to sratch", in the sense you're apparently using it, means to make a minor and very shallow cut in the skin. "scratched themselves" means that it was their own actions that caused these injuries -- for example, they might have run through some thorny bushes. (In another sense, "to scratch oneself" can mean to scrape the fingernails across the skin to relieve an itch.)
