Hi,
i want somebody to correct my sentence

abate:
to lessen in degree/intensity
1. As the rain started pouring heavily, we were'nt able to drive the car so we waited until the rain abated.
2. He seems to be very tired ,so we asked him to take rest until his tiredness abated.
