About the future tense

Hi,

What usage of the future tense is the best?

I will meet him tomorrow at the gate. (with "will")

I am meeting him tomorrow at the gate.(with the present continuous)

*Is one sentence better than the other? If I write a sentence with the future tense, which form is the best? Can both be written strictly speaking or is one form better in written than the other?

Thanks,

MVB
