About the format of American Psychological Association

Hello eveyone..please help me again. We were given an assignment about the format of American Psychological Association where we are going to give 5 examples from books, magazines,on line, and articles.I was really confused how to start. I scanned the site of APA but it was so confusing. Is the format are the four major sections? I dunno if those given examples are the format. Honestly, I really don't understand this kind of assignment coz it was given to us without further explanation. So please I beseech you..help me..vThank you very much..
