About test

Thanksfor your response to my post.

A: Let's go for a movie.

B: No. My Maths teacher has set us a test that is tomorrow; I have to prepare for that.

I know the meaning of 'set homework' but can we say 'set a test'?

Thanks.

I don't know if you wrote these sentences yourself or if you got them from a book or other source, but the sentences are not acceptable in American English. A: Let's go to a movie. B: No.
