About street parties

Good morning.

I've read a text about 'street parties' in Britain.

To get an answer like: 'People put tables and chairs in the street and have lunch with their neighbours', what should I ask.

'What are street parties?' has already been used (They're a British tradition).

Thank you.

Inasmuch as they are traditional (very occasional events which only happen in a few streets if there's a very special event) I guess you could ask:

'What happens at a street party?'
