about relative pronouns and commas

Our house, which has a red door and green shutters, needs painting.

Here is the question.

Can I use 'that' instead of 'which'? If not, could you explain why?

I will tell you the same thing but just change the wording a bit. Using "that" suggests that you have more than one house.

No, it would need more than that—the commas would have to be deleted also.
