About "rainy / "raining"

Could I say,

1 It was a rainy season last week in a village.

2 It was raining with a thunderstorm.

3 It was raining continuously for a few days.

4 It continued raining with a serious / heavy thunderstorm (for a few days).

5 After a few days there had a flood in a village when it was raining cats and dogs.

6 It rained cats and dogs for a few days.

7 The Happy Village had a thunderstorm (followed by a heavy rain).

8 At the village, it rained heavily for a few days. There was a thunderstorm everywhere. (followed by a heavy rain).
