about "where you were and what you would be doing"

"Since the time you spent me a text message, I've been wondering where you were and what you would be doing."

I'm getting kind of confused whether it should be "I've been wondering where you would be and what you would be doing" just to be consistent.. but I'm thinking the original form is better because 'you' is assumed to be at just one place only? as opposed to what he would be doing would be various things.

Please confirm my suspicions/offer other thoughts.

Oh yeah.. that was a typo with the word 'spent'.. should be 'sent'

Anyways, why not use 'would be' for 'doing'? Can you explain?

Thanks.
