About Questions Construction !

Hi All,

Please help me, i'm from Brazil..
My English teacher learn me about question constructions using verb to be, and 2 examples about, he used "It is the door closed ?" and in other case "It is the window also closed ?", my question is : This construction is correct ?

A long time other teacher, teach me, the correct construction was "Is it the door closed?" and "Is it the window also closed ?", but now, I'm confused...

What is the correct ? "IT IS .. ? " or "IS IT ...? " and Why ?

Thanks.

Also, my teacher taught me, not learn(ed) me.

The teacher teaches. I teach, I taught, I have taught.
The student learns. I learn, I learned, I have learned. (Or learnt, in BrE)
