About possessive forms

I want to talk about the color of a shape.
I usually refer to it as "the shape's color", but could I also say "the shape color"?
When can I use the kind of possessive for that dismisses "'s"?

I don't think so, but it'shard to tell without a full sentence and maybe some context.

Looking at a graph: The shape's color darkens as the x variable increases. You'll see the lines represented by circles and squares are lightest closest to the Y-axis and darker as it moves right.

Rafael SoteldoI want to talk about the color of a shape.
Then say "the color of the shape". You don't need to bother with those others.
