About Peter on Sunday

Can I say,

Last Sunday was sunny. Peter did not go to school. He ate breakfast with his mother. He promised to his mother to clean and mop the floor. After breakfast, he helped his mother sweep the fallen leaves in the garden. He collected the leaves with a broom. He put them into a rubbish bag. Then, he prepared a lunch for his family. After that the family took a rest in the living room. He did his homework after the rest. In the evening, he visited his aunt.
