About passage

Hi teachers, I really need your help. I had an interview. There they asked me to read a passage which is about 600 words and asked me to write the same passage in just 50 words. They just asked me to give the clarity to the topic. I mean what that passage is all about and who is that topic all about, My question to you is what are the points we should remember while reducing 600 words to 50 words.

The context is all about an author, when did the author born and which school and college did he join and how did he start his career and all. Below I will write that minimised passage which is about 50 words if there are any mistakes please do correct it.

Dr, seuss is an author. He born in the year 1904, he has written many children's books, Many children and adults have enjoyed reading his books. At the beginning he was interested in painting so he did his higher studies in painting and after the college he got a job in a newspaper to work as a cartoonist, Later he thought of using his talent in making movies and animated movies, so he helped an army in making movies, Later he got interest in writing children books. He wrote and published a book however It did not even get published, Again he wrote one more book called The cat in the hat, This book gave him a lot of fame and made him famous, After this he had got many awards and Finally had become a famous author.
