About parallel structure?

I have two sources and one receiver. The distance from the receiver to the two sources are different.
My question is : which of the two sentence below is correct?

#1 The weaker signal coming from the farther source reaches the receiver two nanoseconds after the other.

#2 The weaker signal coming from the farther source reaches the receiver two nanoseconds after the other does.

Thank you!

Hi, You don't need to say 'does', although to say it is not wrong. However, 'the weaker signal from th farther source' suggests to me that there are two signals from the farther source, one waker than the other. To clarify the meaning, I suggest eg The weaker signal , coming from the farther source , reaches the receiver two nanoseconds after the other.

I don't know the full context, but it seems to me that the difference in the time of reception depends entirely on the distance of the source, not on the strength of the signal. For this reason, I would put the information about the distance in the main position and the information about the signal strength in the subordinate position, thus:

The more distant signal, which is weaker, reac
