About newspapers

0 With almost every English newspaper's name definite article 01i01b00the 02b02i00is used, e.g. The Washington Post, The Times, The Guardian etc. But there is one newspaper with which no article is used. It is Dawn. Can anyone tell me why it is so?0-

00I think it's really just convention, custom and, in the case of Dawn, choice.02br

00Where I live, the main paper is called 'Toronto Star', but everyone calls it 'The Star'. I guess we feel like we are saying 'The Star (newspaper)', ie 01i00being specific02i00 about which paper we are talking about.02br
