about negative

Dear all,
I know him. This is positive sentence.
I don’t know him.
I haven’t known him. Which sentence is used for the negative?
Thank you

Since the first sentence uses the simple present form of the verb "know," that's what you would use in the second sentence as well.

I think both are correct.

i.e.
- Did you meet John?
-Yes, I did, but I haven't got to know him, yet.

I think the most likely if you stick with the simple past
