About "Mother's Day"

Should I write like this way:

(a) It was a sunny day. Peter was making a Mother's Day card. He wanted to give a surprise and some special gifts for his mother.

(b) That day, he woke up early. He made breakfast and a beautiful cake for her. After that, he put them on the dining table.

(c) When his mother went to the dining room, she was surprised. Peter kissed and hugged his mother. He wished her a happy Mother's Day.
