Can I say,

Jason and his friends has different hobbies. Jason likes to play the guitar and basketball.

Pater is Jason's best friend. He likes to play football. He cheers up happily while he wins the football matches every time.

Susan is his best friend too. She likes to collect seashells in defferent shapes. She also likes to collect toy cars.

Jason and his friends has different hobbies.

Jason likes to play the guitar and basketball. This is not wrong. However, you are using two slightly different meanings of 'play', so I would say

Jason likes to play the guitar and he enjoys basketball.

Pater is Jason's best friend. OK
