About idiom

Hi everyone,

Is there an English idiom or wording to say, "Only to do the job is not enough, but you've to use your heart and effort to really make things work."?

Thank you~

There is a saying "If a job's worth doing, it's worth doing well." It seems a bit corny to me though.

Thank you, Mr Wordy! So, you think this saying is old-fashion? Not recommended to say it nowadays?

I wouldn't personally recommend it, no. It is, as I say, kind of trite and corny.

Hi guys,

There is a saying "If a job's worth doing, it's worth doing well."

When I worked in an office, we were sometimes given some pretty foolish tasks.

We invented a saying, "If a job's not worth doing, it's not worth doing well."
