About flying a kite

Can I say,

(a) Last Sunday, it was a windy day. Peter and his parents were at the beach. They saw many children flying kites.

(b) Peter wanted to fly a kite too. He persuaded his father to buy a kite for him. Then, his father bought a bird fly from the stall.

(c) After that, Peter joined other children on the beach. He had a great fun flying his kite. He was very happy.
