Hi,

I have realization with the following lines.

1. Peter thought the world was flat until I enlightened him!

= I had him understand deeply and clearly about it

2. The papers praised the judge's enlightened ruling.

[the judge's enlightened ruling] = the judge had [himself in ruling] understand deeply and clearly about the case itself;

Could any one tell me it is correct or not?
