Hi, In [We trust the remedy] / [the dependable remedy], though [the remedy] is considered to be the object of transitive verb, yet still I have a strong reason for regarding [the remedy] as a compelling thing to cause the subject of [we] to do the action of trusting. If you see why is the reason? Trying to see why the definition of [dependable] in this way ----"able to be trusted".The definition shows that the thing to be trusted is the thing to dominate the subject to trust. If work [the remedy] into the definition that effect would be very clear to see. [the dependable remedy]----the remedy is able to be a dominator to compel us to trust. So we come to the conclusion that no the remedy , no our trust.Thank you for your assistance.
