about date

I think the form of the writing of a date is variable, such as mm-dd-yy, dd-mm-yy

and sometimes the date is written as say 9th, sometimes it's simply 9

My question is how should I use these different forms without making mistakes?

Hello ecopsy, and welcome to English Forums. I don't believe I have replied to one of your posts before. You are referring to "style" and not "grammar" and style allows you to used different things and still be correct, as long as you are consistent.

  • No one will care if you say 9th December or 9 December, as long as you don't write 9th December in one sentence and 12 December in the next one.
  • The only thing to be careful about is when you use things like 5/10 or 11/6.
