About critical mind

Hi, there ! : )

I am a person whose speaking language is not English, so trying to understand some words or phrases is sometimes a tough thing to me.

ok, back to the subject matter.

Could somebody tell me what' the meaning of 'critical mind' ?

I came across this phrase in a English ariticle, however, I can't understand it fully, some examples better,

Hi, 'a critical mind' - a brain that looks at arguments, assertions, statements, to decide for itself if they are correct. eg Tom has a critical mind. He does not simply accept what anyone says.

'a critical mind' - a brain that looks at arguments, assertions, statements, to decide for itself if they are correct.

eg Tom has a critical mind. He does not simply accept what anyone says. Tom always thinks about it, to decide if he agrrees with it, to see if the argument is flawed.
