About asking the time...

Hi all,

Could anyone help me with some questions about asking the time?

1. How do I construct a question to ask the time if what I'm interested in knowing is the minute but not the hour?

How about the second but not the minute?

And how do I answer such a question if I'm asked?

2. And if we are counting down and I'd like to know how many more seconds, minutes or days left, how do I construct the question? (Do I need "are" before "left" in the question I'm asking?)

3. What question will have my answerer give me answers like "This is my third/fourth/fifth, etc. time of doing it"?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Could anyone help me with some questions about asking the time?

1. How do I construct a question to ask the time if what I'm interested in knowing is the minute but not the hour? Not something I remember ever asking. I'd normally just ask 'What time is it?', Then, when I get the answer, 4.25 pm, I know the information I'm looking for.
