About [as far as God is concerned]

Hi,

In interpretation of Romans 6:10, I cannot understand the reason for the interpretation write with [as fas as sin is concerned / as far as God is concerned]?

I give another interpretation of the same scripture to help you to answer to .

Romans 6:10

For in that he died, he died unto sin once; but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.

New International Reader's Version (NIRV)

When he died, he died once and for all time as far as sin is concerned. Now that he lives, he lives as far as God is concerned.

Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)

Yes, when Christ died, he died to defeat the power of sin one time—enough for all time. He now has a new life, and his new life is with God.

Thank you for your assistance.

Christ died to sin in two senses: 1) in regard to sin's penalty- He met its legal demands upon the sinner; and 2) in regard to sin's power -forever breaking its power over those who belong to Him; and His death will never need repeating. Paul's point is that believers have died to sin in the same way. ***'s wrath against sin has been satisfied with the death of Jesus.

Somehow my answer got messed up. There should not be a line through any of the words; I don't know how that happened. Let me know if you have any more questions.
