about articles.

Hi teachers.

"The correct use of the articles is one of the most difficult points in English grammar."

In this sentence, I don't know why 'the' is used before 'correct.'
Before not seriously thinking of the articles, it didn't matter to me at all
but while studying them, It drives me crazy.

I would appreciate it if you let me know WHY.

You can work out the answer by the process of elimination.

1. 'use' is singular, so it requires an article.
2. Only 'the' and 'a' are available. You have to use one or the other.
3. 'a correct use' means 'one of possibly several correct uses'
