They usually arrive at the coast of Tainan around August or September.

Could I use about instead:

They usually arrive at the coast of Tainan about August or September.

I'm more used to seeing "about" used with a time complement, or a number: "They arrived at about 3 o'clock", "there were about 30 people in the room".
