About an incident - a fire

Can I say,

(a) It was a sunny day. Peter was walking home from the library. Suddenly, he saw a house was on fire. He was shocked.

(b) He quickly ran to the telephone booth nearby. He dialled 999 to call the fire brigade. The firemen will arrive at few minutes.

(c) After three minutes, the firemen arrived. They helped to put out the fire. Some firemen ran into the house to salvage the victim's belongings. After a few minutes, the fire was put out. The firemen thanked Peter.

a) is ok b) I would suggest that other information is required in the final sentence. Maybe ' He was told that the firemen would arrive in a few minutes', or ' the firemen would be arriving is a few minutes. c) If you are talking about one victim then 'the victim's belongings' is correct but if you are talking about more than one victim the possessive apostrophe comes after the s, thus: victims'.
