About a day in the zoo

Can I say,

(a) Last Sunday was sunny. Peter and his friends went to the zoo. They went there by bus in the morning.

(b) After one hour, they arrived. They saw many animals in the zoo. Later, they saw the sea lion show. They were juggling a ball.

(c) Then, they saw monkeys swinging on a tree. They were kept in a cage, but enjoyed themselves. Peter and his friends had a great time before going home.

It will be better if we change it into the sentences below.
