About

Hello,

1. The train was about to leave.

The 'to leave' is the abject of the preposition 'about'.

I wonder whether we can use 'to-infinitive' as an object of a prepostion.

Thanks.

'about' can be used as a preposition but not when followed by a to-infinitive.

I want to know about your story. "your story" is the object of preposition 'about'.

Infinitive phrases can function as object of preposition.

I had no choice
